Cooperative Minister States Operational Regulations for KDKMP to be Released Soon

Bandarlampung (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliantono, has stated that the regulations concerning the operations of the Merah Putih Village and Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) will be released soon.

“As of today, we wish to inform village heads and village associations that a Presidential Regulation regarding the operations of the Merah Putih Village and Sub-district Cooperatives will be issued in the near future,” said the Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliintono, in Bandarlampung on Friday.

He noted that the Presidential Regulation regarding the operations of the KDKMP will assist in understanding the detailed technical aspects of cooperative operations.

“We will strive to ensure that the Presidential Regulation regarding the operations of the Merah Putih Village and Sub-district Cooperatives can be released by next week, which will serve as a guideline for all of us to operate the cooperatives effectively,” he said.

He explained that the operational stage is the most critical phase in the development process of the KDKMP in various regions. This follows a lengthy process involving the establishment of legal entities, business bodies, deed processing, and the physical construction of outlets.

“This year, we have approximately 35,000 cooperatives formed. During a recent meeting, the President noted that the physical construction of warehouses, outlets, and equipment is progressing well,” he added.

According to the Minister, following the issuance of regulations to accelerate the construction of physical infrastructure, outlets, warehouses, and equipment for the KDKMP, many regions have accelerated their development, with Lampung Province showing particularly rapid progress.

According to data from the Ministry of Cooperatives, the number of KDKMP units that have achieved legal entity status nationwide stands at 83,379, while Lampung has 2,651 units. Furthermore, the number of KDKMP units currently in the construction phase with registered land nationwide is 38,534, with 1,535 units in Lampung. Additionally, the number of KDKMP units that have completed 100% of their construction nationwide is 23,054, with 1,015 units located in Lampung.
