The government has stated that the placement of managers for the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) is intended to ensure the even distribution of human resources across all regions. Once the construction of the KDKMP buildings is complete, placements will be adjusted to align with the managers’ domiciles.

The Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliantono, also urged KDKMP managers who have received placement decrees far from their homes to accept their initial assignments without fear of disqualification.

“Together with PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, we will maintain their status (as KDKMP managers) and will not disqualify them while waiting for the Merah Em Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperative buildings to be completed. We will find a solution,” Ferry stated in a written briefing on Tuesday (29/09/2026).

This announcement followed a Limited Coordination Meeting led by the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan, which discussed various developments regarding KDKMP, including manager placements, at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs Office in Jakarta.

Ferry emphasised that these cross-regional placements are being implemented to fill human resource gaps in areas where KDKMP buildings are already finished and require immediate management. However, as the construction of other KDKMPs continues, managers will be reassigned to locations based on their domiciles.

He also ensured that if any KDKMP managers choose to resign, they will not face sanctions, although the number of resignations is not expected to be significant.

During the same session, the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan, expressed understanding regarding the concerns of managers placed away from their homes. He requested that managers accept their initial placements to ensure their status as KDKMP managers under Fixed-Term Employment Contracts (PKWT) for two years under Agrinas Pangan Nusantara remains valid.

“The most important thing for the managers who have already been placed is to accept the role first so that their PKWT status remains intact. Once the cooperatives near their domiciles are completed, the locations will be adjusted. This way, their status does not lapse,” said Zulhas.

Regarding compensation, Zulhas stated that managers will receive a salary between IDR 6.3 million and 8.3 million, consisting of salary components and allowances in accordance with local minimum wages (UMK). This remuneration reflects the heavy responsibility placed on managers to develop the village ecosystem.

He also noted that KDKMP managers will begin their placements according to their respective work areas starting 1 October 2026. These managers will manage the cooperatives as government infrastructure to handle government subsidy distributions and develop village economies.

In facilitating the distribution of government subsidies and access to financing, PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara has signed cooperation agreements with several State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), including PT Pupuk Indonesia, Bulog, ID Food, Bank Mandiri, Bank BNI, Bank BRI, and PLN.
