Cooking Oil Prices Rise Despite Declines in Rice, Beef and Chicken Eggs

Jakarta, VIVA – The National Food Agency (Bapanas) has reported that premium rice prices were recorded at Rp 15,449 per kg, down Rp 62 per kg, whilst medium rice stood at Rp 13,256 per kg, down Rp 89 per kg.

Meanwhile, government-subsidised rice (SPHP) was priced at Rp 12,411 per kg, down Rp 29 per kg, and local specialty rice at Rp 15,825 per kg, up Rp 166 from the previous day.

Maize prices at the farmer level were recorded at Rp 6,767 per kg, down Rp 118 from the previous day, whilst imported dried soybean prices stood at Rp 10,787 per kg, down Rp 164 from the previous day.

Shallot prices fell to Rp 39,798 per kg, down Rp 1,270, and garlic bulb prices dropped to Rp 37,855 per kg, down Rp 814 from the previous day.

Curly red chilli prices were recorded at Rp 43,536 per kg, down Rp 421, large red chilli at Rp 39,405 per kg, down Rp 1,342, and red bird’s eye chilli at Rp 73,551 per kg, down Rp 123 from the previous day.

Pure beef prices fell to Rp 137,575 per kg, down Rp 468, broiler chicken prices dropped to Rp 40,430 per kg, down Rp 142, and broiler chicken egg prices declined to Rp 30,610 per kg, down Rp 328 from the previous day.

Consumption sugar prices were recorded at Rp 18,021 per kg, down Rp 168, and consumption salt at Rp 11,495 per kg, down Rp 85 from the previous day.

Packaged cooking oil prices rose to Rp 21,084 per litre, up Rp 90, bulk cooking oil increased to Rp 17,919 per litre, up Rp 219, whilst Minyakita branded oil fell to Rp 16,917 per litre, down Rp 176 from the previous day.

Bulk wheat flour prices were recorded at Rp 9,502 per kg, down Rp 147, and packaged wheat flour at Rp 12,748 per kg, down Rp 78 from the previous day.

Indian mackerel prices rose to Rp 45,736 per kg, up Rp 422 from the previous day, skipjack tuna increased to Rp 37,256 per kg, up Rp 250, and milkfish rose to Rp 37,152 per kg, up Rp 381 from the previous day.
