Convenience, safety on trains
Convenience, safety on trains
From Kompas
We, train passengers, no longer feel at ease or safe traveling by train because of crimes which often take place on trains. The Senja Utama Solo-Balapan train, Senja Utama Yogyakarta and Fajar Utama Yogyakarta are some examples. Also, train singers and hawkers seem to have free access onto trains, which is quite a nuisance to the passengers. They do not hesitate to awaken sleeping passengers and insist that they give them some money. It seems that the singers are well organized. They come in groups (more than 10 groups), entering the train one coach after another. Imagine, there are about seven coaches to a train.
I regret that the rail authority has done nothing to put things in order and drive the singers and the hawkers off the train, as they did in the past. I wonder whether they are only concerned with the profits and completely ignore the convenience and safety of the passengers.
