Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province has commented on the procurement of two billiard tables for the official residences (rumdis) of two DPRD leaders valued at Rp 486.9 million. He stated that the billiard tables are still in the planning stage.

According to data from the General Procurement Planning Information System (SIRUP) of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institution (LKPP) from the South Sumatra DPRD Secretariat as of 7 March 2026, the planned procurement of billiard tables for the chairman amounts to Rp 151 million and for the third vice-chairman Rp 335.9 million.
“So in addition to the existing location, there could also be training at the official residence,” he said.
Nevertheless, this legislator from the Golkar Party acknowledged that he understood public attention regarding the use of regional budgets. Therefore, he continued, every procurement plan will be re-evaluated by considering principles of efficiency and priority needs.
“If deemed not urgent or not providing significant benefit, then the procurement can be reviewed again or even cancelled,” he said.
