JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – After facing rejections and screenings being halted in several regions, the film’s responsible party has now been reported to Jakarta Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) over suspected personal data misuse.

The report was filed by Yasinta Moiwend, also known as Mama Sinta, an indigenous leader and environmental activist from Merauke, South Papua, on Friday (29 May 2026).

Mama Sinta’s legal representative, T.S. Hamonangan Daulay, stated that the reported party is Johnny Teddy Wakum, Chairman of the Merauke Legal Aid Institute (LBH), who is known as the producer of the Pig Feast documentary.

The report has been received by the National Security Sub-Directorate of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate at Polda Metro Jaya, registered under case number LP/B/3843/V/2026/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya.

Johnny Teddy Wakum is charged under Article 65 in conjunction with Article 67 of Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection regarding suspected personal data misuse.

Mama Sinta expressed disappointment that her face and involvement in the film were published without her consent.

“They screened Pig Feast everywhere; I’m heartbroken, deeply disappointed! Without my permission, without discussion,” Mama Sinta said.

“They’re criminals! My face is everywhere in that film; I’m heartbroken!” she insisted.

However, during the screening on 8 April 2026, she only discovered that the footage was part of the documentary Pig Feast.

Mama Sinta felt she was treated as an object without consent.

“Why is my face being taken everywhere through this film? Am I a doll? An Asmat statue that’s been carved? Papuans call it an Asmat statue, a carving. I am not an Asmat carving!” she said.

Through the report, Mama Sinta has also requested the police to halt all forms of Pig Feast publication, both online and in screenings across various regions.

In response to the report, Johnny Teddy Wakum stated he respects Mama Sinta’s decision to pursue legal action.
