Contraflow traffic reinstated at KM 23 on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road

Bekasi (ANTARA) – The contraflow traffic arrangement has been reintroduced at the KM 23 to 28 segment of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek, at the police’s discretion, due to an increase in vehicle volume. “We support the police’s discretionary decision to reintroduce contraflow since 06:42 WIB,” said Ria Marlinda Paallo, Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal at PT. Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, in Bekasi on Wednesday. She explained that the contraflow is implemented as an effort to maintain smooth traffic flow amid rising traffic volumes and ongoing road maintenance in the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. “This traffic engineering is situational and will be continually evaluated to adjust to field vehicle volume,” she said. She noted that the scheme effectively alleviates congestion, and traffic around the maintenance works was observed to be smooth. The company apologises for the inconvenience caused by the works and thanks road users for their patience and understanding. It also urges all road users to plan their journeys, ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, and ensure sufficient e-money balance before entering the toll road. “Road users are also urged to always follow traffic signs and directions from on-site officers,” she added.
