Contraflow Traffic Management Remains in Effect on Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, KM 36-KM 70

Jakarta — PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) continues to implement traffic engineering measures in the form of contraflow (reverse flow) on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) toll road section from KM 36 to KM 70 towards Cikampek to support smooth traffic flow during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr exodus.

The contraflow arrangement is being implemented at the discretion of the Police force from 00.00 Western Indonesia Time as an effort to ease vehicle congestion heading eastwards on the Trans-Java route.

Additionally, one-way traffic management stage I continues to be applied from KM 70 on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to KM 263 on the Pejagan-Pemalang toll road since 15.18 Western Indonesia Time the previous day.

The implementation of contraflow and one-way traffic engineering represents a Police discretionary measure supported by JTT to maintain smooth traffic flow towards the Trans-Java direction.

“We urge road users to pay attention to traffic signs, follow instructions from field personnel, and prepare their journeys well,” said Ria on Tuesday (18 March 2026).

She added that JTT, together with the Police and all stakeholders, continues to monitor and evaluate traffic conditions to ensure toll road services remain optimal during the exodus period.

JTT also urged road users to ensure sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll road, maintain their vehicles in good condition, and use rest areas to rest if tired in order to keep journeys safe and comfortable.
