Contraflow Toll Operations Begin on Jakarta–Cikampek Expressway, from KM 55 to KM 70

JAKARTA — PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has supported the police’s traffic management discretion by implementing contraflow (reverse direction) traffic engineering on the Jakarta–Cikampek Expressway (Japek) from kilometres 55 to 70 towards Cikampek starting at 20:43 WIB.

The reverse direction implementation has been introduced to anticipate increased vehicle volumes during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday period in 2026, particularly on the main eastbound routes of the Trans Java Expressway.

JTT Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal Ria Marlinda Paallo stated that increased traffic volumes have been monitored as the Eid holiday period approaches.

“As we enter the Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 holiday period, traffic volumes are rising, so we continue to urge Trans Java Expressway users to prioritise safety and prepare themselves before undertaking toll road journeys,” Ria said, quoted from a statement on Tuesday (17/3/2026).

In addition to contraflow implementation, JTT together with relevant parties continues to monitor traffic conditions and maintains field personnel to ensure smooth and safe passage for road users.

Road users are also urged to update travel information through the Travoy application and contact the Jasa Marga One Call Center at number 133 to obtain the latest traffic information.

The traffic engineering measure is expected to help alleviate vehicle congestion and maintain smooth flow during the holiday exodus on the Jakarta–Cikampek Expressway.
