Contraflow on Japek Toll Road During Good Friday Holiday: Locations and Times

JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), in conjunction with the police, is enforcing a traffic engineering measure in the form of contraflow on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to anticipate the surge in vehicle volume heading eastwards along Trans Java during the Good Friday holiday. Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that this policy is a strategic step to ease traffic density from Jakarta towards Cikampek. “At the discretion of the police, the counterflow traffic arrangement is applied from KM 47 to KM 66 in the Cikampek direction on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road at 09:18 WIB,” she said in Karawang, West Java, on Friday (3/4/2026), quoted from Antara. “The implementation of contraflow on one lane from KM 47 to KM 66 in the Cikampek direction is at the police’s discretion as an effort to maintain smooth traffic flow towards the eastern Trans Java region,” Ria added. JTT, along with the police, continues to intensively monitor traffic conditions to ensure the engineering runs optimally and safely for road users. JTT also advises Trans Java toll road users to prioritise safety during their journeys. Drivers are urged to ensure their physical condition and vehicles are in prime condition before setting off. Furthermore, road users are expected to maintain a safe distance, obey traffic signs, and follow instructions from officers, particularly when passing through the contraflow lane. Toll users are also reminded to anticipate weather changes, ensure sufficient electronic money balance, and plan their trips meticulously to keep the journey smooth and comfortable.
