Contraflow on Japek Toll Road Discontinued

The contraflow traffic engineering (counterflow) from Km 47 to Km 66 on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road (Japek) in the Cikampek direction has been discontinued. Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that traffic conditions are gradually returning to normal until the discontinuation was carried out. According to Antara on Friday (3/4/2026), the contraflow was previously implemented from Km 47 to Km 66 on the Japek Toll Road in the Cikampek direction at 09:18 WIB. The contraflow was then discontinued at 13:27 WIB after traffic flow was observed to be smooth. Ria Marlinda Paallo stated that this normalisation or discontinuation of the contraflow is the result of intensive field monitoring of traffic conditions. According to her, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) together with the police continue to conduct periodic evaluations of traffic conditions. Traffic is now operating normally again. She mentioned that the contraflow traffic engineering was implemented at the discretion of the police. JTT still urges road users to always prioritise safety in driving, maintain a safe distance, and comply with signs and instructions from officers in the field. Road users are also expected to ensure sufficient electronic money balance and that vehicle conditions are in prime condition before undertaking a journey.
