Contraflow Implemented on Japek Toll Road, Open from KM 70 to KM 36

Traffic engineering in the form of contraflow on the return Lebaran route from KM 70 to KM 36 towards Jakarta on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road has been implemented by PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol together with the police on Monday evening. Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in her statement in Karawang, West Java, on Monday, conveyed that the contraflow (traffic arrangement that changes the normal direction of vehicle flow) is applied at the discretion of the police. The contraflow traffic engineering is implemented to support the smooth flow of traffic during the Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah return period and to support the implementation of local one-way traffic engineering. This time, the contraflow is implemented from KM 70 to KM 36 towards Jakarta on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road at 18:19 WIB. According to her, the implementation of this traffic engineering is a joint effort to maintain the smooth flow of vehicles during the Lebaran return period. “This traffic engineering is implemented situationally at the discretion of the police, taking into account the traffic conditions on the ground,” she stated on Monday, 23 March 2026. During this Lebaran return season, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol together with the police continues to monitor to ensure the smoothness and safety of road users. PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol advises all Trans Java toll road users to always prioritise safety, plan travel time well, and ensure vehicles are in prime condition and roadworthy. In addition, road users are expected to ensure sufficient fuel, electronic money balance, and the physical condition of the driver before travelling.
