PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) and the police have implemented a contraflow traffic arrangement on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road on Friday (27/3) morning to support the smooth flow of return traffic for Eid al-Fitr.

JTT Vice President for Corporate Secretary & Legal, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that this contraflow traffic arrangement is a proactive step to ensure the smoothness and safety of road users.

The contraflow on the Japek Toll Road was implemented at the discretion of the police, from KM 70 to KM 47 towards Jakarta on Friday at 08.49 WIB.

“JTT fully supports the traffic arrangement policies set by the police to ensure that vehicle flow remains optimal, especially during the return traffic period when the volume of passing vehicles is quite high,” said Ria in her statement in Karawang, quoted from Antara.

To support smooth transactions, JTT is also optimising services at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate with up to 22 lanes operational towards Jakarta.

In addition, operational staff are on standby in the field to manage traffic, assist road users, and ensure services run optimally.

JTT urges all road users to anticipate their travel routes, ensure vehicles are in prime condition, maintain safe distances, and comply with traffic signs and instructions from on-site officers.

Road users are also expected to ensure sufficient electronic money balance before travelling to maintain smoothness at the toll gates.

Previously, the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) Polri implemented a local one-way scheme towards Jakarta on the Cipali Toll Road from KM 132 to KM 70 at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, starting at 09.30 WIB.

If there is a surge in traffic in the afternoon, the second stage of the local one-way will be implemented from KM 169 to KM 70.

Subsequently, if traffic increases further, the local one-way will be opened again from KM 188 to KM 70.
