Contraflow Implemented on Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road for Maintenance Works

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has implemented a contraflow traffic system on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road heading towards Cikampek, spanning from Km 23 to Km 28, to support traffic flow for road users. Pgs Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal PT JTT Dary Achmad Budi stated in Bekasi on Thursday that the traffic engineering measure is being applied situationally based on vehicle volume conditions to maintain smooth traffic flow.

He explained that the contraflow implementation is also an effort to support traffic flow around the location of ongoing road maintenance works on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. The traffic engineering aims to ensure smooth journeys for road users during the maintenance period, particularly around the Km 26 point of the Japek Toll Road towards Cikampek, where repairs are currently underway and targeted for completion on Friday (26/6).

The company, together with the police, continues to monitor, evaluate, and adjust the implementation of the traffic engineering according to the development of traffic conditions. All operational personnel are also continuously deployed in the field to ensure the safety of road users and the smooth flow of vehicles during the contraflow implementation.

PT JTT apologised for any potential inconvenience experienced by road users during the works and traffic engineering, whilst also expressing appreciation for the patience and understanding of road users in supporting efforts to improve the reliability of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road infrastructure. Road users are advised to manage their travel time, ensure their vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, ensure sufficient electronic money balance, and comply with traffic signs and directions from officers in the field.
