Contraflow Implemented on Cikampek Toll Road for Long Weekend Holiday

Traffic engineering in the form of contraflow is being implemented on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section to anticipate congestion during the Good Friday long weekend. The contraflow has been in place since this morning.

“PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) supports the police’s discretion by implementing traffic engineering in the form of contraflow from KM 47 to KM 66 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section at 09:18 WIB,” stated Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in her statement on Friday (3/4/2026).

Ria explained that the implementation of contraflow is one of the steps to alleviate vehicle density heading towards Cikampek. The contraflow is applied situationally based on on-site traffic conditions as well as coordination between JTT and the Police to maintain smoothness and safety for road users.

“The implementation of contraflow on one lane from KM 47 to KM 66 towards Cikampek is carried out at the police’s discretion as an effort to maintain the smooth flow of vehicles heading to the eastern Trans-Java region. JTT, together with the Police, continues to intensively monitor traffic conditions to ensure that traffic management runs optimally,” Ria clarified.

The company urges all Trans-Java toll road users to always prioritise safety in driving by ensuring that the driver’s condition and the vehicle are in prime condition before starting the journey.

Road users are also expected to maintain a safe distance, pay attention to traffic signs and instructions from on-site officers, especially when following traffic engineering.

In addition, road users are advised to anticipate potential weather changes during the journey, ensure sufficient electronic money balance, and plan their trips well.
