Contraflow at KM 55 on Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road Closed, Redirected to KM 47

Traffic engineering on the vital Trans Java mudik route has undergone further adjustments. PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), together with the police, has officially temporarily closed the contraflow access entry at KM 55 on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section at 10:05 WIB on Sunday (22/3/2026). In its place, the starting point for the contraflow implementation has been redirected from KM 47 to KM 65. “The main focus is to maintain a balance between road capacity, the effectiveness of dispersing congestion, and safety aspects for road users at points with extreme vehicle volumes,” stated Ria. JTT emphasised that this change in access points is based on visual monitoring and periodic field evaluations. The dynamic increase in vehicle flow from Jakarta towards Semarang demands flexibility in traffic engineering implementation to avoid build-ups at a single entry point. This change in access points requires extra vigilance from mudik travellers. Drivers are advised to be more attentive to directional signs and follow instructions from on-site officers to avoid taking the wrong lane. Vehicle speeds when traversing the contraflow lane must also be adjusted for collective safety.
