Traffic engineering on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road continues as the peak homecoming flow is entered on Wednesday (18/3). This policy is implemented to ensure smooth travel for the public ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, reminds road users to continue complying with the rules during the engineering period.

“We urge road users to pay attention to traffic signs and follow the instructions of officers in connection with the traffic engineering still in effect on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section towards Trans Java to support the smooth flow of homecoming,” said Vice President Corporate Secretary Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol Ria Marlinda Paallo in Bekasi, on Wednesday.

Traffic engineering in the form of a contraflow system is still being implemented on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road towards Cikampek, specifically from km 36 to km 70. This policy is applied due to the high volume of vehicles passing through and has been in effect since 00.00 WIB.

In addition, the first-stage one-way scheme is also continuing. This system applies from km 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to km 263 of the Pejagan-Pemalang toll road since Tuesday (17/3) at 15.18 WIB. This step is taken to alleviate vehicle density heading to the eastern Trans Java region.

Ria explained that the implementation of this traffic engineering is the result of coordination between toll road operators and the police. The aim is to maintain the smooth mobility of the public during the Lebaran homecoming period, especially on the Trans Java route.

In addition, Jasa Marga, together with the police and other stakeholders, continues to monitor and evaluate traffic conditions periodically. This is done to ensure that toll road services remain optimal during the homecoming period.

Road users are urged to prepare their journeys well, including ensuring that the balance on electronic money cards is sufficient before entering the toll. Vehicle conditions must also remain prime for safety during the trip.

Drivers are advised to rest at rest areas if feeling tired to keep the journey safe and comfortable. In addition, road users are also encouraged to download the Travoy application to obtain the latest traffic information.

For more information, road users can contact the Jasa Marga call centre available 24 hours at number 133.
