Contraflow Adjustment: Access at KM 55 Closed and Redirected to KM 47-KM 65 on Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road
Violations of truck operational restrictions are worsening congestion. PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), together with the police, is implementing adjustments to the contraflow traffic engineering scheme on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section. The contraflow entry access at KM 55 has been temporarily closed and redirected through KM 47 to KM 65 at 10:05 WIB. “The implementation of opening and closing contraflow access is carried out situationally, considering aspects of safety, road capacity, and the effectiveness of dispersing traffic density,” said VP Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in her statement on Sunday (22/3). This step is expected to maintain smooth travel for road users, especially at points with high vehicle volumes. Ria stated that JTT, along with the police and related stakeholders, continues to conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of traffic conditions. The contraflow adjustment on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road is intended to ensure that the applied engineering runs optimally. JTT also urges all road users to pay attention to signs and directions from officers on the ground, as well as to adjust their speed when passing through the contraflow lane. Traffic engineering on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section continues to be enforced as it enters the peak homecoming flow on Wednesday (18/3). PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is implementing contraflow traffic engineering or changing the direction within one lane to two lanes from KM 55 to KM 65 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. Contraflow traffic engineering is being implemented from Km 36 to Km 70 on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section, following an increase in traffic volume on that toll road on Friday (28/3). VP Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in Cikampek, conveyed that the contraflow is applied at the discretion of the police. PT Jasa Marga Transjawa Tol (JTT) extended the contraflow for one lane from KM 47 to KM 65 towards Jakarta on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section at 08:54 WIB.
