The Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) faced continued pressure during trading on Friday (11/09/2026). As of 11:32 WIB, the IHSG plummeted by 1.49%, or 98.43 points, to the level of 6,490.91.

According to IDX Mobile data, the IHSG opened at 6,552.79. The index reached a high of 6,552.70 and a low of 6,462.96.

Pressure was widespread across the stock market. It was recorded that 545 stocks weakened, 141 stocks strengthened, and 277 stocks remained stagnant. Transaction value reached Rp8.46 trillion, with a trading volume of 18.90 billion shares and a frequency of 1.22 million times.

All stock sectors were observed to be in the red zone. The energy sector saw the deepest correction at 2.79%, followed by the non-primary consumer goods sector, which fell by 1.67%, utilities by 1.61%, industrials by 1.56%, and finance by 1.52%.

Meanwhile, several large-cap stocks acted as the primary drags on the IHSG. PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) was the largest detractor, contributing a negative 14.30 points, followed by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with 14.08 points.

Furthermore, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) weighed on the IHSG by 7.76 points, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) by 4.34 points, and PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) by 3.96 points.

PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) also exerted pressure with 2.86 points, followed by PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) at 2.46 points, PT Mora Telematika Indonesia TPK (MORA) at 2.45 points, PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) at 2.28 points, and PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) at 2.06 points.

On the other hand, only a small number of stocks were able to provide positive contributions. PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) was the largest supporter with a contribution of 1.79 points, followed by PT Maha Properti Indonesia Tbk (MPRO) at 0.72 points and PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG) at 0.54 points.

Today’s pressure on the IHSG continues the decline from the previous trading session. On Thursday (10/09/2026), the IHSG closed down 1.33% to the level of 6,589.34, with all sectors recorded as weakening.

Global sentiment also remains a focus for the market. Previously, analysts noted that the escalation of the US-Iran conflict and rising oil prices were factors making regional exchanges, including the IHSG, vulnerable to pressure.

Additionally, the United States is facing increasingly concerning debt issues. US federal government debt has officially surpassed US$40 trillion, setting a new record and serving as a warning regarding the nation’s growing fiscal burden.

One impact is already visible in the bond market. The US Treasury is preparing a debt buyback of up to US$6 billion to maintain bond market liquidity. This amount is three times the normal operation level, with the initial transaction targeting 10-year and 20-year Treasuries.

However, this policy was responded to negatively by the market. The 10-year Treasury yield rose to 4.84%, while the 20-year yield reached 5.314% and the 30-year yield breached 5.3%.

The 10-year Treasury yield position is the highest since October 2023. The rise in yields is a concern for investors as it can increase the attractiveness of US dollar-denominated assets while weighing on the valuation of risky assets, including stocks in emerging markets such as Indonesia.
