Content Creator's Phone Stolen at Photobox in Green Pramuka, Jakarta; Rp 25 Million in Account Balance Siphoned
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A content creator who makes educational videos, Berlin (28), suffered a loss of Rp 25 million after her phone was stolen at a photobox location in the Green Pramuka Square mall, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, on Monday (11/5/2026).
Berlin said that she had left her phone at the photobox location before it was taken by two unidentified women.
Instead of returning it, the two women allegedly siphoned money from Berlin’s digital wallet and mobile banking applications on the phone.
Berlin explained that she had just finished work and went to Green Pramuka Square to get a facial treatment.
Before the treatment, Berlin stopped by the photobox next to the place where she was going to have the treatment.
“I had just paid for the photobox, I paid using QRIS, and I put my phone there. So, it was lost here (at the photobox),” said Berlin.
“My mistake was that I put my phone on top of that. I went out, I forgot, and I left it there. I was getting a facial,” she explained.
During the 30-minute treatment, Berlin suddenly remembered her phone.
When she looked for it, she realised it was no longer in her bag.
Berlin then checked the location of the phone using an application on her iPhone.
“So, the person who took my phone had intended to take it and immediately fled,” she continued.
When checked again, Berlin’s phone was located on Jalan Baladewa Kiri 1, Gang J, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.
