JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A content creator named Berlin (28) suffered losses of approximately IDR 25,000,000 after leaving her phone at a photobooth in the Green Pramuka Square mall, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta on Monday (11/5/2026).

The phone was then taken by two unidentified women.

Instead of returning it, the two women allegedly used the phone to access Berlin’s digital wallet and mobile banking accounts, draining her funds.

She then recounted the chronology of the incident.

On Monday (11/5/2026), Berlin, who had just finished work, went to Green Pramuka Square for a facial treatment.

Before the treatment, Berlin took the time to visit a photobooth next to the treatment location.

“I had just paid for the photobooth, I paid using QRIS, and I put my phone there. So, it was lost here (at the photobooth),” said Berlin.

“My mistake was that I put my phone on top of that. I went out, I forgot, and I left it there. I was getting a facial,” she explained.

During the 30-minute treatment, Berlin suddenly remembered her phone.

When she looked for it, she realised it was no longer in her bag.

Berlin then used an app on her iPhone to track the location of the phone.

“So, the person who took my phone had intended to take it and immediately fled,” she added.
