Content Creator from South Jakarta Provides Additional Information Regarding Alleged Rape Case from Eight Years Ago
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Content creator CR attended a police summons to provide additional clarification regarding the alleged rape case she experienced in 2017, on Wednesday (25/2/2026).
Her lawyer, Dewi, said that CR had provided further explanation about the crime scene map, which she still remembers clearly.
“Today’s agenda was actually additional clarification regarding the crime scene, and she also discussed witnesses,” said Dewi when met at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Wednesday.
CR experienced trauma due to the rape while attending an event from a famous global fashion brand at one of the nightclubs in South Jakarta.
“There was a process of denial within her, of course. In the end, she dared to speak out after going through a lot of trauma and prolonged depression, which is why she finally reported it to the Metro Jaya Police,” explained Dewi.
Currently, CR only hopes that the police, as law enforcers, can immediately follow up on her report and obtain justice.
She urged the police to help find access to CCTV footage, which was difficult for them to obtain at the time.
“We have asked the investigators, and they said they will conduct a crime scene investigation,” she said.
Previously, it was reported that CR claimed to have been raped by a businessman, RB, at a nightclub in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, on October 12, 2017.
Afterwards, CR was taken home by a key witness, who then told her to take birth control pills.
CR felt afraid. She had planned to report it to the South Jakarta Police.
However, she abandoned her intention because the legal framework at that time could not guarantee the safety of victims of sexual violence.
“There was an attempt (to report) in 2018, but at that time, the TPKS Law (Law on Sexual Violence) did not exist. This added to the burden, making it difficult for victims to access legal channels. It was reported, but how to prove it was a problem,” explained her spokesperson, Martin, when contacted on Monday (23/2/2026).
