Contemplacion case

Contemplacion case

Being a Filipino in Indonesia, I am quite concerned over the
way the Contemplacion case is developing. I hope that those
concerned will open their hearts and minds and reach a decision
that will be fair to all.

Perhaps the Singaporean government is right. Flor
Contemplacion never recanted her confession in the many official
instances. Yet many believe that she was unjustly condemned.
Maybe because her motive for the killings was not established
beyond reasonable doubt.

Asian women by nature are peace-loving and law-abiding
citizens. Therefore, for a woman to kill another woman (her
friend at that) and a helpless child -- is simply beyond
comprehension, unless such a murderous woman has extreme
motivation to do so.

An Asian woman against an organization or a country can be
easily intimidated, coerced, or framed. Of course this will be
very hard to prove, especially if such country is clannish and
overprotective of its citizens. I don't know, I think only God
knows the truth. I just hope and pray that this case will end
peacefully and in a humane manner.
