Container Flow Operational Performance Trend Rises 8%, Here's the Cause

Jakarta – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) has again recorded a positive operational performance trend, posting an 8% cumulative year-on-year growth in container throughput for the January to July 2026 period. This growth was driven by service optimisation and efficiency across all its working areas. Container throughput volume reached 2,171,202 TEUs in the first seven months of 2026, up from 2,009,185 TEUs in the same period the previous year. Senior Manager of the IPC TPK Corporate Secretariat, Daniel Setiawan, stated that this positive achievement is the result of the company’s ongoing commitment to maintaining operational excellence and strengthening synergy with service users. The performance growth is in line with a significant increase in July 2026, which grew 13.7% year-on-year to 353,465 TEUs, compared to 310,846 TEUs in July 2025. The growth was supported by optimal performance at several terminals in July 2026. The highest surge was recorded by Teluk Bayur Terminal at 30.8%, followed by Panjang Terminal at 29.1%, Tanjung Priok Terminal at 15.2%, and Jambi Terminal which rose by 6%. Through operational integration and port system efficiency across all terminals, IPC TPK continues to ensure service efficiency for users. The acceleration of loading and unloading services remains a primary focus to ensure the smooth flow of the national supply chain and Indonesia’s logistics competitiveness. Daniel expressed hope that this achievement will continue to motivate the entire IPC TPK team to consistently maintain service quality, improve operational efficiency, and sustain the positive performance trend.
