Consumer foundation to open help kiosks

JAKARTA: The Indonesia Consumers Foundation (YLKI) will erect five help kiosks at major bus terminals, railway stations and airports to help solve problems related to transportation services for holidaymakers.

"Please do not hesitate to report any violations in the ticketing made by bad bus operators, for instance, to our staff at the posts. We will try to help for free," YLKI chairwoman Indah Suksmaningsih said over the weekend.

Indah said the posts would start operations on Monday (today) when the flow of those leaving for home is expected to peak.

Posts will be placed at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport's terminal B, Senen Railway Station in Central Jakarta, the Pulogadung and Kampung Rambutan bus terminals in East Jakarta, and the Lebak Bulus bus terminal in South Jakarta.

About 20 YLKI staff and volunteers will man the kiosks. -- JP
