According to BI Executive Director of the Communications Department Ramdan Denny Prakoso, the survey results indicate that consumer confidence in the economy remains strong. ‘This is reflected in the May 2026 Consumer Confidence Index, which remains in the optimistic zone (index >100) at 120.9,’ Denny said in a written statement on Wednesday, 10 June 2026.

Denny stated that consumer confidence in April 2026 was underpinned by perceptions of current conditions and future expectations.
