Jakarta – Bank Indonesia (BI) reported through its Consumer Survey that consumer confidence in economic conditions remained strong in February 2026, with the Consumer Confidence Index (IKK) remaining at an optimistic level above 100. The February 2026 IKK was recorded at 125.2, although this represented a decline from the previous month’s figure of 127.0.

Ramdan Denny Prakoso, Executive Director of BI’s Communications Department, stated in Jakarta on Monday (9 March 2026) that the continued strength of consumer confidence in February 2026 was supported by the Current Economic Conditions Index (IKE), which was recorded at 115.9, a slight increase compared with the previous month’s index of 115.1.

In its survey, BI noted that the increase in IKE stemmed from gains across all constituent components. The Current Income Index (IPSI), Job Availability Index (IKLK), and Durable Goods Purchase Index (IPDG) were each recorded at 125.0, 110.7, and 112.0 respectively, representing increases from the previous month’s figures of 123.7, 109.9, and 111.8.

Regarding consumer expectations for economic conditions over the next six months, the Consumer Expectations Index (IEK) remained at an optimistic level of 134.4, although this was lower compared with the previous month’s figure of 138.8.
