This school will serve students from primary school to senior high school level.
Wonosobo (ANTARA) - Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo inspected the progress of the People’s School construction in Wonosobo Regency, which is currently being accelerated to be completed by June 2026.
He said in Wonosobo, Friday, that the inspection was carried out to ensure that this priority project of the government is completed before the start of the new school year in July 2026.
He conveyed this after inspecting the construction of the Wonosobo Regency People’s School in Candiyasan Village, Kertek District.
According to him, the People’s School was built as an effort by the government to break the chain of poverty by providing free education facilities for the community.
This school will serve students from primary school to senior high school level.
According to the Minister of Public Works, the current progress of construction has reached around 40 percent of the target of 250 calendar days, which began on November 28, 2025. The government continues to accelerate construction so that the school can be used immediately.
“So, we are working together to ensure that all of these second-phase People’s Schools are truly completed in July 2026 and that students can start attending the new school in July 2026. This year, we are targeting 93 schools. Of these 93, around 20 have been completed. All are on track,” he said.
