Construction of People's Schools in Four Provinces Accelerated
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) is accelerating the construction of Sekolah Rakyat simultaneously in four provinces, namely Banten, DKI Jakarta, Sulawesi Barat, and Maluku Utara, to support the readiness of educational facilities for the new academic year.
The construction is a task from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing through the Directorate General of Strategic Infrastructure as part of supporting the national priority programme in the education sector.
Unlike single projects focused on one area, the Sekolah Rakyat construction in four provinces is carried out simultaneously with targets for quality standard equality and integrated field control.
To support this acceleration, Hutama Karya is implementing an integrated work pattern from synchronising work stages, mobilising resources, to strengthening supervision at all project sites.
In Banten, the Sekolah Rakyat project is being built in Pandeglang Regency and Lebak Regency.
Meanwhile, in DKI Jakarta, the construction is being carried out to expand the reach of educational services in densely populated urban areas.
In Sulawesi Barat, the construction is taking place in Mamuju Regency and Polewali Mandar Regency.
Whereas in Maluku Utara, the project is located in West Halmahera Regency and North Halmahera Regency.
Each Sekolah Rakyat area will be equipped with various supporting facilities, starting from school buildings, dormitories, teacher apartments, mosques, multi-purpose buildings, canteens, warehouses, to other area infrastructure.
Therefore, the acceleration of construction is not only measured by construction progress but also by the readiness of facilities so they can be immediately operational when the new academic year begins.
For this reason, the company is carrying out work in parallel at all locations with strengthened internal coordination and strict quality supervision.
In some regions, Hutama Karya is also implementing an operational collaboration scheme to ensure smooth project implementation in the field.
Acting Executive Vice President (EVP) Secretary of Hutama Karya, Hamdani, stated that the main challenge of the project is not only building in multiple locations at once but ensuring all sites progress with the same quality standards and functional targets.
“Sekolah Rakyat in four provinces reflects Hutama Karya’s readiness in handling accelerated construction that is dispersed yet remains measurable,” said Hamdani.
