Construction of New Batutulis Bogor Route to Involve Local Workers ("Warlok")

Bogor - The Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, has revealed that the construction of the new route along Jalan Saleh Danasasmita in Batutulis, Bogor City, will involve workers from the local community (warlok).

This has been directly mandated by the Head of the Department of Roads and Spatial Planning (BMPR) of West Java Province.

“Information from the Head of BMPR Province yesterday also gave me a direct mandate to recruit local labour, about 15 to 20 people, as needed,” said Jenal in Batutulis, Bogor City, on Thursday (14/5/2026).

“But of course, it will be adjusted to their abilities. Whether as labourers, assistants, or skilled workers,” he added.

Jenal also assigned the Sub-district Head down to the Neighbourhood Head to compile a list of people in need of work.

He explained that local workers must be of productive age and capable of working in the road infrastructure construction sector.

“I think we will assign the RW Head, the Village Head, and the Sub-district Head to list people who really need jobs,” said Jenal.

“I think productive age, who are able and can work. This is up to the community and the local apparatus,” he added.

For information, according to the Work Start Order Letter (SPMK), the construction of the new route is targeted to be completed by the end of October 2026.

The construction of the new Batutulis route uses the West Java Provincial Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) amounting to Rp 21.2 billion.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Technical Management Unit (UPTD) for Roads and Bridges in Handling Area I of the West Java Provincial Roads and Spatial Planning Department, Andi Nugroho, explained that the new route of Jalan Saleh Danasasmita is approximately 300 metres long and eight metres wide.

In addition, the bunker located at the end of the road will not be affected by the construction work.
