Construction of Cirebon People's School Accelerated, Progress Reaches 40 Percent
The construction of the Sekolah Rakyat in Cirebon is being accelerated to broaden educational access for the community. PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) reports that the project’s physical progress has reached 40.243 percent as of early May 2026.
Brantas Abipraya’s Company Secretary, Dian Sovana, stated that the project realisation is on a positive deviation from the S-curve by 12.865 percent. “Brantas Abipraya continues to optimise project implementation to ensure completion on target and swift utilisation by the community,” Dian said in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday (8/5/2026).
The construction faces technical challenges on site, particularly narrow neighbourhood access roads that restrict the movement of large vehicles and the distribution of construction materials. This condition affects project traffic management and material delivery efficiency.
“Nevertheless, Brantas Abipraya is applying various acceleration strategies to ensure the project progress remains optimal,” Dian added.
The company is taking several steps to speed up the work, including the use of wiremesh-based plate reinforcements to enhance construction efficiency, increasing the number of batching plants to five units to support concreting needs, and implementing a three-shift work system to allow continuous operations.
Additionally, the window specifications have been changed from nako type to casement windows to accelerate installation while improving building quality.
Dian emphasised that the acceleration maintains quality standards and work safety. “This is our effort to ensure the project can be completed faster while meeting the highest standards,” she said.
According to Dian, the construction of the Sekolah Rakyat in Cirebon is one of the important educational infrastructure projects to strengthen human resource quality. Adequate educational facilities are expected to expand learning opportunities and improve community learning quality.
“Therefore, we are applying various strategic measures from optimising construction methods, adding supporting facilities, to implementing a three-shift system to keep the project progress on track. We are optimistic that the Sekolah Rakyat Cirebon construction can be completed on time with the best quality,” Dian continued.
She added that educational infrastructure development is the company’s contribution to supporting human resource quality improvement through the provision of safe and adequate learning facilities. “Brantas Abipraya will continue to deliver quality infrastructure that positively impacts the community and supports the development of superior Indonesian human resources,” Dian said.
