Construction of one of four buildings at the Gianyar District Administrative Centre (Puspem) complex has been completed. Five district government agencies (OPD) will occupy Building A of Puspem Gianyar starting in April 2026.

“On the western side, there are four towers. One was already completed last year. We will begin operations there from April this year,” said Dewa Gede Putra Hartawan, head of the Gianyar Public Works and Spatial Planning Department, speaking to detikBali following a meeting at the Gianyar Development Planning Agency office on Monday, 9 March 2026.

Hartawan stated that the regional administrative bodies to be housed at Puspem Gianyar include the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department, the Housing and Settlement and Land Affairs Department, the Culture Department, the Tourism Department, and the Unity of Nation and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol).

“Since the building is ready, we will relocate,” Hartawan said.

According to Hartawan, construction progress at Puspem Gianyar has only reached completion for Building A. Buildings B and D remain under construction. Construction of Buildings B and D is targeted for completion by May 2026, with other agencies planned to occupy these two buildings from July 2026. Building C has only just begun the construction phase, having been tendered on 25 February 2026.

“The main building, which will house the regent, is scheduled to be completed by August 2026. However, it depends on when the regent (I Made Agus Mahayastra) wants to move in,” he added.

The Puspem Gianyar development project, valued at 94 billion rupiah, comprises two separate building complexes divided by a road, located on the northern and western sides. All buildings at Puspem Gianyar face north and are situated on land covering 3.6 hectares.

The four buildings for government agencies are located on the western side, whilst the main building for the regent and vice-regent is located on the eastern side. All buildings at Puspem Gianyar are targeted for completion and occupancy by early 2027.

“All buildings at Puspem Gianyar will be completed in 2027. However, this will happen in phases. As each building is completed, it will be occupied,” Hartawan said.

Hartawan emphasised that the Puspem Gianyar development adheres to government efficiency policies. He noted that many district government agencies currently lack permanent offices. The construction of the Puspem Gianyar complex is funded through the regional budget (APBD), with the exception of Building C. Building C is financed through a regional financing scheme from PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) worth 765 billion rupiah.
