Tangerang-based national electronics brand Bestlife, PT Berkat Elektrik Sejati Tangguh (PT BEST), has commenced construction of an air conditioning (AC) and washing machine production facility at Millennium Industrial Park in Tangerang.

The project is marked by a $10 million investment, equivalent to approximately Rp17.8 billion.

“This strategic move aims to expand national manufacturing capacity and bolster the domestic electronics industry,” said PT BEST Director Andy Arif Widjaja in a release on Sunday, 31 May 2026.

Andy explained that the first phase of the production facility will be built on a 1.5-hectare plot of land.

The factory will focus on producing AC and washing machines with modern quality standards and integrated manufacturing efficiency.

According to Andy, Indonesia holds significant potential as a base for electronics industry growth.

Initial workforce requirements will total hundreds of local employees.

The entire construction investment comes from PT BEST’s internal funds as a Domestic Investment (PMDN) company.

The move aims to strengthen the domestic industry and reduce reliance on imported products.

Looking ahead, PT BEST’s industrial zone will not only increase production capacity but also develop into a technology and industry competency hub.
