The Constitutional Court (MK) held 11 sessions to pronounce rulings and decrees during the period from January to June 2026, granting 19 petitions for judicial review of laws. According to the MK’s official Instagram account in Jakarta on Monday, the 19 granted petitions included reviews of the Higher Education Law, the Press Law, the Flats Law, the Criminal Procedure Code, the Law on Persons with Disabilities, and the Law on the Eradication of Corruption. Other laws reviewed included the Election Law, the Advocates Law, the Law on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector, the Government Administration Law, and the Health Law.

Among the 19 petitions granted by the MK was petition number 128/PUU-XXIV/2026 concerning women’s representation in elections of at least 30 per cent. Another was ruling number 139/PUU/XXIII/2025 regarding the payment of pension benefits, in which the MK decided that voluntarily paid pension benefit funds may be disbursed in a lump sum or in stages.
