Constitutional Court Justice Anwar Usman has entered retirement. He was officially farewelled in the Plenary Session Room at the Constitutional Court Building I.

Chief Justice Suhartoyo congratulated Anwar on the end of his tenure as a justice. He noted that Anwar had accompanied the Constitutional Court for 15 years.

“On this occasion, as a leader—one of the leaders at the Constitutional Court—I first extend my congratulations to His Honourable Professor Doctor Anwar Usman, as mentioned earlier, up to today or precisely until 6 April, he has fully completed his duties of service and dedication at the Constitutional Court for 15 years,” said Chief Justice Suhartoyo in his remarks on Monday (13/4/2026).

Suhartoyo then expressed thanks for Anwar’s service. He mentioned learning much from Anwar’s example.

“Once again, thank you to His Honourable Prof. Anwar Usman for his service, dedication, and commitment, which in certain aspects may have sparked considerable media attention, but on the other hand, I have drawn many lessons from it, many good things that I follow and take as a role model,” he added.

Next, Suhartoyo welcomed two new Constitutional Court justices. The two are Adies Kadir and Liliek Prisbawono Adi.

“Then, to His Honourable Mr Adies and Mr Liliek, on behalf of the entire Constitutional Court family, we extend a warm welcome and congratulations on joining the Constitutional Court,” he said.

For information, Anwar Usman entered retirement on 6 April 2026. Anwar will also turn 70 on 31 December 2026.
