Constitutional court
Constitutional court
toward civil society
From Media Indonesia
The Constitutional Court is a very important institution; its
members should therefore comprise professionals, senior figures,
or persons of authority, good conduct and wide knowledge, without
favoring particular groups or parties.
Its decisions or amendments should be based on a variety of
considerations, without harming the interests of particular
groups or disrupting national unity or integrity.
Given the recognition of existing religions by the state, they
should all be represented, in order to reach fair decisions. This
court will be expected to improve the country's civil society,
while enhancing law enforcement and tightening measures against
harmful acts.
