The 2029 local elections are still some time away, but the West Java DPW NasDem has already heated its political engine to win many victories in the elections to come. Chairman of NasDem West Java DPW, Mamat Rachmat, said that in 2029 NasDem West Java aimed to finish in third place.

“West Java is determined that by 2029 the position in third place, for the Provincial DPR, the RI and at the regional level, hopefully this can be achieved,” he said during the NasDem West Java Consolidation event in Bandung on Saturday, 7 March 2026.

Mamat revealed that this consolidation was attended by 18 DPDs that had not been visited during the DPP NasDem Ramadan Safari. “Even though they were not visited earlier, we have gathered them here. The Ramadan Safari journey started on 21 February in West Java, beginning in Bekasi, the Pantura area, Cirebon, Central Java, and returning via the southern route, ending in Garut, and today in Bandung. This Ramadan momentum is consolidating all levels of DPD leadership; this is an opportunity for us, and hopefully through this consolidation we can receive the acceptance and blessing from Allah SWT.”

In this consolidation, Mamat said the party is still preparing its structural organisation and readiness of cadres to win NasDem’s top three in West Java, especially in terms of formation and the structure down to the TPS level. “Therefore, with everyone’s presence, readiness, the strategies we will implement and work on after Eid holidays are ready to welcome you, because there remains work such as the inauguration of the DPC which we will soon complete,” he said.

“This consolidation for West Java to achieve a top-three finish is not just a dream, but something we must achieve together,” he added.

Mamat targeted that by 2026 all party structures would be completed so that by 2027 all cadres would be ready. “Hopefully the target of a top-three finish can be achieved,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, Idris Sandiya, Head of the DPP NasDem Election Victory for West Java, told regency and city-level administrators to continue evaluating. “We hope that in the future, the eight Provincial and RI DPRD will become our capital; all DPD should evaluate their leadership to identify who is active and who is not; those who are not should not be replaced; there must be no unpleasant words, because if those who are not working, those who are working will face difficulties,” he said.

Idris said that the NasDem West Java DPW is targeting its vote to rise in the 2029 elections. “Hopefully our votes will rise to 4 million; preparations are not just through slogans; party leaders must run the organisation, and this consolidation is a gathering. NasDem is our place to serve the community, and I hope that after returning from here we can evaluate so that our preparations are maximised,” he concluded.
