Consistent Profitability: Pizza Hut Records IDR 6 Billion Profit in Q1 2026
PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk (PZZA) successfully recorded a net profit of IDR 6 billion in the first quarter of 2026. This figure represents a significant increase compared to the IDR 0.4 billion achieved in the same period the previous year. This strong performance extends the company’s positive achievements, having successfully posted profits for six consecutive quarters since Q4 2024.
Pizza Hut Indonesia CEO Boy Lukito stated that this achievement confirms that the transformation undertaken by the company has produced a stronger and more sustainable business foundation.
“Looking ahead, our focus is on maintaining this momentum with higher-quality growth, strengthening profitability, and ensuring that every initiative delivers sustainable impact for the business,” he said in an official statement on Thursday (7/5/2026).
It is noted that in the first quarter of 2026, PZZA recorded net sales of IDR 727 billion, or a 2.8% year-on-year increase. This revenue drove gross profit to IDR 520 billion with a 71.6% margin, while operating profit rose to IDR 14 billion, supported by disciplined cost controls, productivity improvements, and optimisation of the operational structure.
This performance demonstrates the company’s resilience in maintaining growth amid external pressures, including relatively high inflation trends in early 2026, particularly for staple commodity needs.
It should be noted that the sales momentum in the first quarter of 2026 was also supported by the shift in the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr periods, which fell earlier than the previous year.
Nevertheless, PZZA continues to show sustainable performance quality improvements, reflected in the consistent profitability trends over the recent quarters.
On the financial side, PZZA also strengthened its balance sheet structure with a year-on-year reduction in total debt by IDR 173 billion, as well as a significant decrease in interest expenses, reflecting disciplined cash management and a healthier financing structure.
PZZA also continues to strengthen its commercial strategy through product innovation and enhanced brand relevance. The launch of the Dip n Crunch menu, supported by creative digital campaigns including on the Roblox platform, is one of the efforts to reach a younger and more dynamic customer segment.
On the operational side, PZZA successfully executed selective and measured expansion by opening six new outlets in various strategic areas such as Kepanjen, Indramayu, Canggu, Blitar & Tanjung Barat, as well as renovating 21 outlets to improve customer experience quality and network productivity, including the launch of the New Concept Ristorante by Pizza Hut at Metro Pondok Indah, which features the theme “The First Premium Halal Italian-inspired Cuisine”.
With a combination of operational discipline, more efficient cost structures, and more targeted growth strategies, the company is in a stronger position to continue positive performance sustainably throughout 2026.
