Consistent Innovation in Technology Secures Awards at IFA 2026
TCL Industrial has secured numerous awards at the IFA 2026 event in Berlin, Germany, through innovations across various categories, ranging from display technology and audio devices to smart home solutions and artificial intelligence (AI) based hardware.
The awards received include the Gold Award in the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards, organised alongside the International Data Group (IDG), IFA, and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK). TCL Industrial also received IFA Innovation Awards and recognition from several international technology media outlets, such as Tom’s Guide, TechRadar, What Hi-Fi, and Android Authority.
CEO of TCL Indonesia, Evan Tang, stated that current display technology is no longer limited to televisions. According to him, display technology is now utilised in various activities, including entertainment, work, communication, and daily tasks.
“Through a portfolio that includes TVs, soundbars, monitors, smartphones, and even near-eye display devices such as RayNeo glasses, TCL Industrial continues to expand the development of visual and audiovisual technology,” said Evan.
One of the award-winning products is the TCL X11L. This television earned the Best in Show Award at IFA 2026 from Tom’s Guide and the IFA Breakthrough 2026 Award from Android Authority. The TCL X11L utilises SQD-Mini LED technology, which is claimed to produce a colour gamut of up to 100% BT.2020, alongside the Huayao Butterfly Super Screen and quantum dot technology.
In the audio category, the TCL Soundbar Q95K achieved the Gold Award for High-Fidelity Panoramic Sound Technology in the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards, as well as the IFA Breakthrough Awards from Android Authority. The Soundbar Q85K received the Best in Show Award at IFA 2026 from What Hi-Fi, while the S65K received the IFA Innovation Awards.
TCL also introduced the X3 monitor line, including the OLED+ X3B gaming monitor. This product uses fourth-generation WOLED technology with a peak brightness of up to 1,500 nits and a colour gamut of up to 99.5%.
In the mobile device segment, the TCL P80 Series received the Best of IFA 202 long from Android Authority, while the P80 Ultra earned the IFA Innovation Awards. The device features a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
In the near-eye display category, the RayNeo iO received the IFA Innovation Awards. These glasses integrate an AI assistant and are designed for daily use. The RayNeo GT Max also won the Gold Award for AR Glasses Technology in the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards and the IFA Innovation Awards. The device features a field of view of up to 59 degrees and is equipped with an audio system from Bang & Olufsen.
Expanding AI Applications
Beyond consumer electronics, TCL Industrial is developing the application of AI and smart technology in household appliances. TCL air conditioning systems won the Gold Award for Photovoltaic Cooling Technology in the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards. This technology integrates solar panels, energy storage, and cooling systems so that DC electricity from solar panels can be used directly to operate the AC.
In the refrigerator category, the TCL TwinMag Prime Fresh received the Gold Award for Dual-Magnetic Fresh Keeping Technology. The product also received the Product Innovation of the Year award at the 22nd China Household Appliance Innovation Event.
Similarly, the TCL Heat Pump Super Drum integrated washer-dryer received the Product Innovation of the Year award at the same event. The device utilises LightningDry technology to accelerate the drying process.
TCL has also developed the AiMe robot, which won the Gold Award for AI Companion Technology Innovation in the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards. The robot combines multimodal human-computer interaction and bionic motion control to support user interaction.
In the connectivity sector, the TCL 5G AI CPE X5 received an honourable mention in the Best Communication and Connectivity category at the IFA Innovation Awards 2026. The device uses AI for home network management, including network optimisation, quality of service settings, diagnostics, and network recovery.
These various innovations are developed through TCL Industrial’s research and development network, which comprises 25 R&D centres and seven joint laboratories across various countries.
