Confused in Bandung

Bandung, the capital of West Java, was formerly known as the
Paris of Java. Today, it is no longer so beautiful because of its
complex city plan and muddled public transportation system.

As a student from Jakarta, I was confused when I first arrived
in Bandung. I went to a destination by public minivan and for my
return trip, I had to take another means of public transport. The
routes used by the two were also different.

The other problem was the rarity of street signs at
intersections, so that it was difficult to find my way as a
newcomer.

The Bandung administration should therefore order that more
signposts be erected in strategic places and organize public
transportation and their routes to facilitate travel.
