Conflict with Israel Intensifies as More Than 58,000 Lebanese Flee Across the Country

Beirut — The Lebanese disaster management authorities on Tuesday (3 March) reported that 58,064 people have fled internally across Lebanon amid the escalating conflict with Israel. Official figures show the total number of displaced families in the country reaching 12,539. The authorities said that from early Monday (2 March) until Tuesday afternoon local time, at least 40 people were killed and 246 others injured as cross-border violence intensified. The tensions between Lebanon and Israel have escalated in recent days, marked by increasingly intensive air strikes and exchanges of fire along the border. The situation has led to more casualties, a widening displacement wave, and mounting pressure on the emergency response system.
