Confession of Harto, Thief of Kopassus Member's Motorcycle in Cakung: Has Struck Five Times

Police have uncovered new facts behind the arrest of a man named Harto (21) and Sikin (39), the perpetrator and receiver of a stolen motorcycle belonging to a Kopassus member with the initials SA (20) in Gg. Bona, Penggilingan Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, on Saturday, 20 June 2026. Cakung Police Chief AKP Andre Tri Putra stated that the perpetrator Harto is known to have carried out five operations in the Cakung area. This was determined based on matches with several motorcycle theft incidents that had gone viral on social media in the Cakung area. “The perpetrator admitted to having committed more than five motorcycle thefts, both in the Cakung area and other areas,” Andre told reporters on Monday, 22 June 2026. Andre further stated that the perpetrator confessed that the stolen motorcycles were subsequently sold to a buyer, or fence, named Sikin. “Based on the statement from the perpetrator Sikin, it is true that he has received or purchased stolen motorcycles from Harto four times, with Sikin planning to buy the motorcycle for Rp2.5 million,” he revealed. A Kopassus member with the initials SA (20) became a victim of motorcycle theft while visiting his parents’ home, located in Gg. Bona, Penggilingan Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, on Saturday, 20 June 2026. Under the leadership of Cakung Police Chief AKP Andre Tri Putra, the police acted swiftly in less than 24 hours to arrest the two perpetrators. One perpetrator was the executor, and the other was the receiver of the stolen motorcycle. “The theft perpetrator, Harto (21), and the receiver of the stolen motorcycle, Sikin (39), have been arrested. The perpetrator Harto admitted to stealing the motorcycle by damaging the handlebar lock using a T-key, and confessed that the stolen motorcycle was sold to the buyer named Sikin,” said Andre. Andre further revealed that the chronology of the theft began when SA, who was attending training at Kopassus Cijantung, was returning to his parents’ home at the crime scene. SA then borrowed a motorcycle from his colleague. Upon arriving at his parents’ home, the victim parked the vehicle with the handlebars locked at around 17.00 WIB.
