Condition of Violence and Confinement Victim in Bandung Improves
The condition of YTR, 29, a victim of violence and confinement by her partner in Bandung Regency, is gradually improving. YTR is undergoing intensive care at Hasan Sadikin Central General Hospital (RSHS) Bandung. The hospital has assembled a team of doctors from various specialisations to accelerate the victim’s physical and psychological recovery. Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research at RSHS Bandung, Fitra Hergyana, explained that the patient is showing quite significant progress. Communication with the patient has also begun to proceed well. “Alhamdulillah, the patient’s condition has currently improved. In fact, she was already able to speak with the Regional Police Chief,” Fitra said while accompanying West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan during a visit to the patient at RSHS on Tuesday (23/6). Fitra explained that the hospital is providing maximum service by forming a special medical team. This team collaborates across various medical disciplines to treat the injuries and the impact of the violence YTR suffered due to the confinement. “We at Hasan Sadikin Hospital are providing the best service and also the best team. So we created a team, starting from plastic surgeons, internal medicine specialists, ophthalmologists, and others,” he said. Fitra stressed that the medical team’s main priority is restoring the patient’s general health condition and intensively treating external physical wounds. The medical team has also performed wound tissue cleaning procedures to prevent infection. “The priority is definitely her general health. And also, yesterday her wounds were cleaned, and we are also comprehensively improving her overall health,” he said. Furthermore, Fitra invited the public to pray together for YTR’s recovery so she can quickly get through the critical period and return to normal activities. “Please pray for her, everyone, hopefully she can recover quickly and also hopefully she can resume all her activities,” he said.
