A car crashed into the fence of the 10th and 12th Vice-President Jusuf Kalla’s residence in the Dharmawangsa area of South Jakarta, causing damage to the property.

Based on photographs seen by detikcom on Wednesday (18/2/2026), the black fence was no longer standing in its original position. It had been removed and placed near the security post of the residence. Several iron bars on the fence had come loose, and the stone supports had also been dislodged.

South Jakarta Metropolitan Police Public Relations Section Chief Kompol Murodih explained that the incident occurred on Wednesday (18/2) at approximately 03.45 Western Indonesian Time. Murodih said the driver was a woman with the initials HP, aged 35.

“We did indeed receive information about the fence collision incident at the residence,” Murodih said.

Murodih stated that the driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe was believed to have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing her to lose control and crash into the fence. He said mediation between the parties was already being arranged at the scene.

“The driver was probably drowsy, which caused her to go out of control. We have been informed that mediation is being planned,” Murodih said.
