Concerned about
university students

As a student at a privately-owned university in the city, I
feel concerned that university students in the city generally are
not serious in pursuing their studies and learning to become
independent people. In fact, university students enjoy wider
opportunities to do so than those for whom the door to further
studies is closed.

I came from my village to study in Jakarta because I thought
Jakarta had a lot of modern and advanced educational facilities.
Unfortunately, after attending a privately-owned university here,
I find conditions different from what I imagined before.

I find students in the city generally lack seriousness about
becoming intellectual people. This country was once ruled by
students who had leadership capabilities. If this situation is
allowed to go on unchecked, where will the country be heading?
Let's work hard in the interests of our state and nation.
