Complying with PP Tunas, TikTok Deactivates 780,000 Children's Accounts
Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid, accompanied by Director General of Digital Space Supervision Alexander Sabar and Director General of Public Communication and Media Fifi Aleyda Yahya, delivered a press statement on the progress of PP Tunas compliance at the Kemkomdigi office in Jakarta on Tuesday (14/4/2026). The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs stated that TikTok has submitted a letter of compliance commitment to the Indonesian Government to implement the provisions outlined in PP Tunas, publicised the minimum user age limit of 16 years on its platform via the help centre page, and reported that as of 10 April 2026, it has deactivated 780,000 children’s accounts under 16 years old.
