JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Minister of Transportation, Dudy Purwagandhi, explained in detail the timeline of the collision between the KRL and the Argo Bromo Anggrek train on Monday night, 27 April 2026. He disclosed this during a working meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives, attended by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) regarding the accident, on Thursday, 21 May 2026. ‘A crowd formed where residents observed the scene of the accident,’ Dudy said. He explained that the Ministry respects the KNKT’s investigation into the train accident at Bekasi Timur Station. ‘Various evaluation steps, improvements, and enhancements to transport safety are the focus of the Ministry of Transportation in delivering the best service to the public,’ he said.
