US President Donald Trump is taking a group of bosses from major US companies on his visit to China this week. Prominent names such as Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Apple CEO Tim Cook, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, and Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg are said to be joining the entourage to the Land of the Bamboo Curtain.
According to CNBC International, the presence of these corporate leaders was revealed by a White House official. They are scheduled to accompany Trump in meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
In addition to those names, the US business delegation is also expected to include Blackstone representative Stephen Schwarzman, Cargill CEO Brian Sikes, Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser, Coherent CEO Jim Anderson, GE Aerospace CEO H. Lawrence Culp Jr., Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, Illumina CEO Jacob Thaysen, Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach, Meta Platforms executive Dina Powell McCormick, Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, and Visa CEO Ryan McInerney.
The official who disclosed this information did so on condition of anonymity, as the delegation list has not yet been officially announced.
Meanwhile, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins reportedly received an invitation from the White House but confirmed he will not join the trip due to coinciding with the company’s financial reporting schedule.
Trump Arrives in China
Donald Trump has arrived in China, greeted at Beijing Capital International Airport via Air Force One on Wednesday evening (13/5/2026) local time. Clenching his fist, Trump descended the aircraft steps.
In several photos, it is revealed that Trump was accompanied by a group of executives, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Nvidia boss Jensen Huang.
On Thursday (14/5/2026), Trump is scheduled to attend a welcoming ceremony and hold bilateral meetings with Xi Jinping, before visiting the historic Temple of Heaven site and attending a state dinner. Trump will leave China on Friday, after tea and a working lunch with Xi.
The crucial discussions between the two leaders are expected to cover issues such as tariffs, rare earth metals, artificial intelligence (AI), the conflict in Iran, and Taiwan. Experts predict that Trump and Xi Jinping may announce something significant.
