Complete List of iPhones Receiving iOS 27: iPhone 11 Still Supported
Amidst speculation that Apple would end software support for the iPhone 11 line, the tech giant has officially confirmed that the iPhone 11 and a series of other devices remain on the support list for the iOS 27 update, as announced during WWDC on 8 June. iOS 27 is scheduled to launch next autumn, with a general release estimated for mid-September 2026. Based on previous iPhone launch patterns, the final version of iOS 27 is expected to arrive on or around Monday, 14 September 2026.
A total of 29 iPhone models will receive the iOS 27 update. While the list of supported devices is quite extensive, many of the latest Apple Intelligence processes and Siri enhancements must run directly on-device, necessitating powerful chipset specifications. Consequently, for users of older iPhone models, the experience of using iOS 27 will differ from that of the latest models, as older devices are likely to lack access to the newest AI features.
It is important to note that although the iPhone 11 through to the iPhone 15 (standard/Plus models) will still receive the iOS 27 update, the performance and availability of AI features will be very limited. Given that the iPhone 11 is now six years old, this support could potentially be its last before it is likely to be dropped from support with the release of iOS 28 next year.
