JAKARTA — The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has released a number of emergency contacts that Indonesian citizens (WNI) in the Middle East region can contact.

The information was conveyed by the MFA through its X account @Kemlu_RI on Sunday (1 March 2026), following an escalation in the situation after Israel and the United States attacked Iran on Saturday (28 February 2026).

In an emergency, Indonesian citizens can contact the MFA’s Directorate for the Protection of Indonesian Citizens hotline at +62 812-9007-0027.

The MFA has urged Indonesian citizens planning to travel through or transit the Middle East region to reconsider their travel plans.

Indonesian citizens have also been asked to postpone travel until conditions are deemed more conducive to ensure safety and security whilst abroad.

The MFA through the Directorate for the Protection of Indonesian Citizens (PWNI) and Indonesian representations in the Middle East region continue to communicate and coordinate intensively with Indonesian citizens in their respective areas of operation.

Indonesian representations have also urged Indonesian citizens in affected areas to remain calm, increase vigilance, follow the guidance of local authorities, and maintain communication with the nearest Indonesian representation.

This advisory applies to Indonesian citizens experiencing travel difficulties as a result of developments in the Middle East situation.

The MFA together with all Indonesian representations in the region will continue to monitor and assess the security situation, conditions on the ground, and necessary response measures to address further developments.
